Weekends with Angie & James | Part III: The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise

My older brother and a few relatives from dad’s side of the family have come to visit this week! As a result, my parents have been housing five extra people over the past few days. This is the first time in a very long time that any of my aunts or uncles have decided to drop by. I can only recall a single instance about 5 years ago where something like this has happened. As you can imagine, this visit is quite new and special to us. Anyway, before the week got all hectic and draining, James and I spent a lazy Saturday afternoon in Surfers Paradise. We enjoyed a lovely beachside lunch at Elston and it was nice to just sit there and observe people walking along the esplanade while sipping on our iced coffees and digging into our lunch.

  1. Looks great! Makes me want to visit Surfer’s Paradise – I went there as a kid to go to the theme parks, but I’ve never gone back as an adult. Beautiful photos too :)

    1. Ahh, I reckon Surfers Paradise has changed a great deal since then. They’ve done it up quite nicely, actually! They’ve got tram system going and everything, and they’ve landscaped the beachfront area quite impressively! You should totally come back for a visit! ;)

  2. Yum! Angie, if you are not already doing it professionally you could be a food stylist for recipe books or food magazines. Lovely photos!

    1. Aww, thanks Leanne! I’ve always thought about becoming a food stylist or food photographer, but I don’t really know how to go about doing it professionally! Who knows, maybe one day I’ll be able to turn this hobby into something more! :)
