Here’s yet another café within walking distance from our place, located on the same street as Rokeby Bistro. And like Rokeby, they do decent coffee. Wimbly Lu Chocolates is probably one of the best places to get dessert, but their weekend breakfasts aren’t half bad either. Prices are reasonable, service is lovely. Table sizes are compact, making Wimbly Lu incredibly ideal for lovey-dovey couples on romantic dates or small gatherings up to four. It’s a pretty cosy space with a red brick wall running one length of the narrow café, dark wood flooring, wrought iron ornaments, and a glass roof halfway down the back to allow natural light to flood the otherwise minimally lit interior. That’s +500 hipster points, I say.
If you like white ceramics trimmed in blue, whimsical latte art, and charms hanging from a makeshift trellis along the ceiling, this is the café for you. Speaking of latte art, if you’re a coffee drinker, you’re in luck. Wimbly Lu serves up some delicious brews. But if a simple Flat White ($5) or Cappuccino ($5) strikes you as too passé, perhaps you’d be interested in a pretty Matcha Latte ($5) or Mayan Hot Chocolate ($6). They’d make good accompaniments to your breakfast plates.
Garlic Mushroom and Mozzarella Crepe ($10)
Eggs Royal ($15)
Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs on Toast ($13)
Grand Slam ($17)
Two slices of freshly baked walnut toast, bacon, sausages, two organic eggs (sunny/scrambled), a hash brown, grilled tomato, and some orange juice.
Root Beer Float Cake ($6)
The cake tastes exactly like root beer. With the fudgiest chocolate twist. Holy yum.
Assorted Chocolate Truffles ($2 each)
Choose from flavours like rum & raisin, salted caramel, milo and champagne!

You ate rather a lot!! Apparently an English breakfast is healthy after all, packed with protein. Gorgeous photos as ever …
Love these barista drawings!
Oh my, now am going to crave chocolates all week long until I have some.
